Yes I am using IE7 and I have the same issue. Even for the 2nd last topic I have to really scroll my mouse all over so I can find the hyperlink.

I got a bunch that has photocopies from my lawyer of everything that went out to USCIS. 485, EAD, AP for myself and my wife.
Everything is ok, except that there is an extra copy of G 28 each for myself and my wife and these extra copies are not signed by attorneys.
In the middle of the package, right above the 485 forms, there are G28 forms that are properly signed. Everywhere else there is signatures where needed. But at the bottom of the bunch, there is extra G28 for each one of us that is missing signature from the attorney.
Could this be a problem? Also, where is the URL for USCIS FAQ that states under what conditions that petitions can boomerang back to us?
You are totally fine. According to the I-485 standard operating procedure, page 10, the following are the instructions for the mailroom person :
"Verify the G-28 for original signature of attorney and applicant. If
only one copy has been submitted and you have concurrently filed

the copies with your employee number. Annotate the processing
worksheet".

I do not think it is a normal scenario. A lot of my friends work for in the software industry. There are generally no delays in getting a paystub if salary is deposited regularly.
Please ask your employer to be more prompt at providing pay stubs as you need those for everything that requires income proof.

Hello,
I am currently working as full time and planning to move to consulting. I have the below questions
(i) I know its a bit risky to move to consulting right now compared to Fulltime, but still i See the H1 petetions for most of consutling companies are getting approved.
Do you think is it OK to move to consulting from Full time?
(ii)As client letter is mandatory these dayz, whats the best approach to apply for transfer? Like e finding the project and proceed for premium processing

I think you are positioned well with a full time position and income.
Here is what I would suggest. Continue with your full time job and on the side start looking for a job and make sure that you get hold of good consulting company(ies). If they find you a position, they will/may file for the H1B Xfer. Once the H1b exfer is complete, you can go an join them.
This is all easy said than done. You will have to find a position where the client is willing to wait for your H1B approval and etc. Since you are already on an H1B all you need is a receipt number for the new H1B, but it is getting tricky with denials these days. You dont want to leave your existing full time job and join the consulting company only to realise that the H1B xfer did not go through.

Hi Friends.
I got the pink slip 3 weeks back with one month severance. So my target was to secure the job in one month to avoid loss of pay. Finally secured the job with 3 offers from 3 top companies.
Some tips if it may be helpful to others , that I recently expereinced
1. Read your resume thoroughly and see if there are anything that you can improve and make the resume with the core skills, do not make the resume of mix of different profiles, like dba, architect, project manager, make them all seperate.
2. Try to make the submission to the direct employer or recruiter on top of the chain. You can do that finding contacts on linked in.
3. Do not compromise a lot, this makes these recruiters to think that you are vulnerable for any exploitation, (happened with me, I kicked there butt after getting selected and telling them on why did I do that)

Thanks for your reply. Since I won't be working for Company A, so I have to tell them the situation. If Company A is willing to keep my H1B with them active, until Company B gets my H1B approved, you think that will be OK for me?

I dont think the H1B from company A and company B are related. Since you are on OPT which is a valid status, you may not need the H1B from company A. Moreover there is nothing called transfer. Every time its new H1B only you wont be calculated against the cap if you are already in H1B.
Also you dont need to join the company A and technically they can have the H1 valid and need not cancel it. Means you can have multiple H1 valid at the same time. But there are restrictions how many pay roll can run.
Simply, just leave the company A's H1 intact. Once your Company B is approved you can tell them or work for one month and leave company A.

They have a provision for deporting legal (and illegal) immigrants on their first DUI conviction. Seems to me they are now serious about creating an officialy declared permanent underclass in this country. The house Democrats are also singing the same chorus. I just can't believe that these are the same Democrats who we thought will replace the Republican Congress on the Hill and legalize every immigrants in this country. I have got EAD and AP.I think i would not have got them if the 140 is not filled.
I also know the date on which he filled. but employer is not sharing the receipt because there is no mandate for him to do so.
I wanted to know is there a way out.

I have consulted USCIS rep by taking InfoPass. She was friendly and talked with USCIS Texas rep (thats where mine went), they told her to re-apply. She sent an email and received a response saying to re-apply...................................
Cant they print another copy atleast at a charge instead asking to re-pay the whole fee again..........They are bastards

I recently applied for EAD renewal and after three weeks of that I saw LUD changed on my 485 apllication for consequetive two days. Any Idea why ?
By the way my case is ACT 21 ( 485 filed on 2007 july) and my priority day is not even close to be current.
Any suggestions will be appreciated ?

It depends on the state you live in. Please go through the AP filing instructions. There it is clearly mentioned.
Download "Download Instructions for completing Form I-131" at the below link and you can find the information in page 7.

But from 2) it is very clear injustice. You just mentioned that they made a "choice" not to burn unused visa's, well then that choice obviously excluded the rest of the field, in terms of the rules. Of course, they have the excuse of backlog + 2007 visagate, but that does not redeem their actions. The root cause is because of how the laws were crafted.
Similar argument for 3) - They must be held accountable.

Thanks, Sanju. I was wondering where to ask for assurance; looks like you have found a place. I too need some help: last time my fingerprint check took almost 8 months (!) and I gave one set of them again today. Can somebody assure me that they will comeback before the dates become U again. I am soon writing to Murthy, Oh, Schusterman and Ombudsman too. Thanks for the empathy - whoever responds..
The desperation of your post suggests that you don't need direction, you need therapy. We just need someone to give us some assurance that we will all be fine and live to see the light of the day on Tuesday even if DoS sends out a revised Visa Bulletin. At this time, I too need similar assurance from someone. Can anybody help?

Hi Friends My lc approved under 245i 05-26-01 world wide,my question is if I file perm with new company and if Ican get 140 approved can I use my old priority lc number and apply for 485.PLEASE HELP THANKYOU.
