Mine is a labor substitution filing and 140 is filed in TSC in April-2007. This case is transferred from TSC to NSC in Nov-2007. There are no LUDs after that. I have seen similar cases transferrred in November. Did anyone receive an approval/LUD in such cases ?

A week's time after approval is a good estimate for receiving the cards in the mail. So expect them by April 30 :)

I am writing here for the first time.
My checks got encashed only for EAD/AP.
I filed concurrently I140/485 and PD is 2006.
Can some one tell if this is normal?

There was a soft LUD on my I-485 on 01/01 and today (01/02). I had applied for my H1 extension sometime back.Will my 485 be touched because of H1 ? My PD is Aug 2006 EB2(obviously cant expect AOS getting processed at this time).

A colleague and I both filed EB2 PERM labors at around the same time in 2005.
Our 140s got approved roughly together too/
We both also applied for 485 on July 2nd, through the same lawyer, and both applications went to TSC.
Both of us saw our checks get encashed on the same date.
Here's where our applications diverged.
He received an LUD last friday and his EAD card has been ordered.
I received an FP request today(monday) but no LUD updates.
Although our applications are a bit dis-similar (he is married, i filed single), I have this theory that USCIS is splitting their queue, so as to not bombard its internal departments with the flood of work that has recently come in.
It makes total sense to split people into two groups (atleast), and for each:
a) send them EAD cards with a note of FP pending.
b) send them FP notices and do their EAD later.
(I know another friend who is in group a, while I'm in b)
Yes, we all like to bitch and moan about USCIS, but thats generally emo-talk.
So, has anyone else noticed this, or can anyone help me understand what I'm missing here.
This is just me speculating, but I'd like to throw this thought out there and have it rebound with your inputs.

If you overstayed more than 180 days will trigger a ban. Apply for a visa, or try to find out from CBP or your local consulate or embassy, to find out the ban period. May be 3 or 10 years. You can appeal for ban waiver. Tell the truth at consulate, if not the ban will be greater.

The cancellation of H1b takes 4-5 months and untill then nothing much to worry. You can join new company as soon as you file for H1b transfer.

on July 11, 2005 you applied for EAD 2
On July 29 , 2005 you got it approved. What will be EAD 2 's start date? 30 July , 2005 or Jan10, 2006?
If 30 July 2005, then basically you loose 6 months of time, that means you are getting EAD of 6 months duration.

My friend will come from India on H1B first time to Atlanta Air port this weekend. His H1B was approved for year 2008 and his stamping was done in early 2009. His H1B is from small desi consulting company. What kind of questions he may face? Any inputs will highly appreciated.

you dont have to withdraw 485 for dependents as it will automatically expire. In some rare cases USCIS may allow applicants who have stayed out of US beyond AP expiry date to reinstate AOS application but that is at the discretion of the officer. it could be humanitarian grounds.

Agree with Hpandey, in this situation, 245K would help and any out of status period is counted only from the time after his latest entry, any out of status periods before that do not matter. Even without 245K i dont think the USCIS will make a big deal of this or even notice, but you never know.
