I have ben working with employer A on an H1B ( even labor and I-140 approved, PD-April2009) and planning to apply for H1 transfer now through employer B.
After the transfer is approved for B, if I change my mind and decide to continue to work with curent employer A, can I do that ?
Thanks,
Kumar
You can continue your work with Employer A. Just ignore about B.

Mine is not a Lobour substitution. In fact I am in L1A and mine has been filed in EB3 category. It is done by PERM and it has been approved. My designation is Program Manager and based on that the Labour was filed. My company is doing well and also pays well.
Please advice if that would help.

sfo counsulate charges a fee for endorsement. I recently travelled to India and carried old passport + new passport and PIO card without endoresement. no issues.
endoresment is needed only if you don't carry your old passport, but I guess you already know that carrying old passport is more beneficial than not carrying it.

I own a couple of lenses for a canon camera and would like to get a Nikon D70. Something that would greatly encourage me to do so would be if I could use my current lenses with the D70. I have found some adapters but I have no clue which one I would need. One lens is a Canon EF 28-80mm and the other is a Sigma 100-300mm if that helps. Hopefully somebody here knows. The staff at camera shops usually never respond to my emails, unless I have bought something or I tell them i am going to buy something from them soon.

Hi,
I entered us on J-1 visa, then changed my status here to F-1. I went to school only for one semester, then I had to take off because of pregnancy, and later taking care of newborn twins. So, I had been out of school for 3 semesters. But my international student advisor told me I could still come back now without having to apply for reinstatement.
I don't know how he did it, but he said he had given me some extensions.
Anyway, i would like to travel home (Europe) after next semester. I know I willl have to apply for student visa over there to ba able to come back.
But might there be a problem either with obtaining that visa or here at the airport because I had been out of school for so long and have already kids who are american citizens. Their father is US citizen too, but we can not get married right now, as he is still not divorced.
Thank You

The purchase of a piece of property in America, a single-family house, a PUD (planned unit development) or a condo (flat within a condominium) will guarantee you and your family a green card. This is one of the extreme measures implemented to help stall the meteoric fall of the United States economy in light of the economic crisis, Bulgarian weekly Stroitelstvo Gradut reported on January 15.
Thirty-five accredited investors will have the opportunity to acquire real estate in the south-eastern state of Florida by purchasing a house they will be granted a green card for permanent residence and right of employment for the buyer himself and his/her entire family.
Additional conditions are that the prospective buyer must have a clean criminal record, a good credit record, the ability to present and prove a decent monthly income, and no outstanding financial obligations or credit liabilities. The purchase itself can be done either with cash, bank transfer or monthly instalments, but the financial resource must be proven legitimate.
The US government has allocated 10 000 such visas nation-wide for potential investors in real esate, under a programme approved by the US Congress. Florida's is the first such programme that has actively been given the green light to commence. Specialists in the field argue that this is the best time to invest and purchase property in America, as prices in some states have been slashed by as much as 25 per cent. Experts argue that within three years' time, however, the market will stabilise and prices will rise.

I am also in same situation where my salary is much less than what is mentioned in LC. I am not sure if its going to affect my 485 application. I have got my 140 approved though. I have asked this question to attorneys and forums and everybody has the same opinion that GC is for future job so it should not matter if one's wages are not matching with LC.

This was a complete and total screw up on my part (I forgot my flash was on) but after looking at it for a while....I kind of like it. Somehow, it works (to me anyway)...I should inform you that a few people I've shown this to from school think I'm either crazy or possibly going blind because I like it.

my mothe in law is visiting us. she came to the Us last Aug 2006 as a B2 (tourist visa). we extented her visa once which iwas valid for Aug 8, 2007. then we applied for the extention again. yesterday we received the letter saying USCIS is not going to extend the visa anymore. the application had been rejected. but they didn't mentioned any date in the letter about when she have to go back.
what is safe for her? does she have any deadline to go back? is it 15 days or a month....
someone please let me know...thanks ahead

Dear All:
I am currently in my 7th year on H-1B (with I-140 approved) and my H-1B Visa expired a year ago and my current I-94 valid until next 2 years (same case for my dependants).
I am switching my employer now and my family is planning to goto India and when they go for visa stamping through my new employer - do you think they will get into the trouble because my visa (with old employer) is already expired?
And FYI - myself/my fmaily already had US Visas stamped for atleast 4-5times already in the past through various employers.
The primary applicant's H1-B status must be valid for the dependent to get H-4 VISA stamp. The primary's own VISA stamp is not an issue.

Thanks "glus" for the information.
I received the below advice from an attorney in another forum.
"Make the CIS aware of your approved I-130 and ask that they approve your AOS on that basis. Send a copy of the I-130 approval notice, together with a copy of the I-485 receipt notice to the correspondence address shown on the lower left side of the receipt notice."
According to that attorney, it looks like I can interfile I-140 with I-130. Any thoughts/comments on this?
Thanks.

I would appreciate any and all advice that anyone can provide:
My green card was sponsored by my husband, who has a GC. I was travelling out of the country on advance parole, when my passport got stolen, and I had to return to my original country to get a new passport issued, this took some months, during which, my advance parole to travel document expired. SO I could not enter the US. Then, a couple of weeks later, my green card approval, I485 was approved and a notice sent to me in the US. This was in June 2006. Since then, I have not received any other letter/notice, or the GC itself, and I am still stuck outside the US, without my husband. My lawyer is not doing naything about it, and I dont know what I can do?? I have tried contacting the 1800 number, and they say they put in service requests for me, but I have still not received any new information from that end as well, and each time, I have to wait 45 days before they can put in a new service request.
Help!!
Please advise, as it has been so long, and I am still stuck outside the US without my husband.
Any and ALL advice is most welcome

They ask you to write A# or Alien# but not the Receipt Number.
Check out the A# in 485/EAD/AP/140 - they should be ideally in synch. If not put the A# from the 485 application because that overrides everything and is still pending....
Hi Guys,
In the instructions to file EAD they say to print name and alien receipt number on the back of the photos.
What number should we write? I-485 receipt number or receipt number for last EAD?
Can someone please respond?
Thanks
